Privacy Policy – Coller Startup Competition

Who we are

Ignite by Coller - TAU (the "Company") operates within Tel Aviv University. Controller – Coller Institute of Venture - TAU, Tel Aviv University, Haim Levanon Street, Tel Aviv, Israel. Contact - orliarbel@tauex.tau.ac.il.

 

Scope

This policy applies to our website and forms available at https://www.collerignite.com/privacy and throughout the site. We do not provide user logins on the website.

We follow Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 - including Amendment 13 effective 14 Aug 2025 - and the Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Security), 2017. If you are in the EEA/UK, additional rights may apply - see EU/UK addendum below.

 

What we collect

• Contact form details - name, phone, email, and your message.

• Newsletter consent - when you check the consent box on a form, we record that consent.

• Technical data - device and browser info, IP address, pages viewed, session data, and cookie identifiers collected via cookies and similar technologies.

 

How we use data - legal basis

• Respond to your message - to handle inquiries and follow up - legitimate interests.

• Newsletters and updates - if you give consent, your email is added to our mailing list and we may send you newsletters. You can unsubscribe anytime via the link in each email or by contacting us - consent.

• Operate and secure the site - diagnostics, performance, fraud prevention, and security - legitimate interests.

• Compliance - meet legal and regulatory duties - legal obligation.

• No logins - we do not create on-site accounts.

 

Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers that help us run the site and communications. They process data under our instructions and contracts.

• Wix.com Ltd. - website hosting/CMS, forms, cookie banner, and site infrastructure.

• Email and newsletters – Mailchimp.

• Analytics - Wix Analytics and/or Google Analytics 4.

• Email/workspace - Google Workspace, Microsoft 365.

• Legal and compliance - to comply with law or enforce our agreements.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside Israel. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards - contractual protections and security measures - and require recipients to protect the data.

Cookies and tracking

• We use essential cookies to operate the site and may use analytics and marketing cookies with your consent.

• You can change preferences anytime via Cookie Preferences on the site. Keep a cookie table in the Cookie Preferences panel listing name - purpose - provider - duration.

 

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it.

• Contact form submissions - up to 24 months after last interaction.

• Newsletter records - until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity.

• Server and analytics logs - 12-24 months. (Adjust these periods to your actual practice.)

 

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards - TLS encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege access, and periodic reviews of roles and vendor permissions. Wix maintains additional platform-level safeguards.

 

Your rights - Israel

You may request access to your data and correction of inaccurate data. You may request removal from our direct-mailing database at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in emails or contact orliarbel@tauex.tau.ac.il

 

EU/UK addendum (if applicable)

If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also have rights to deletion, restriction, portability, and objection under GDPR. Contact us to exercise these rights. We will verify your request and respond within applicable timeframes.

 

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 16 - we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
